Join us! Upcoming Info Session and Fresh Meat Period

Ever wanted to be a skater? Send skaters to the penalty box? Or just want to get involved in some way? Now's your chance! 

Our next information session is going to be held on April 28th, 2013 at Water City from 6pm-9pm. 

The fresh meat training period will start immediately after that, on April 29th, 2013. Open enrollment is from April 29th, 2013 through May 8th, 2013. That means you have until May 8th, 2013 to get all your equipment and paperwork in for the fresh meat period! 

League Fundraiser, Carmel Ridge Winery, Cannery Row

The Monterey Bay Derby Dames are doing a fundraiser at the Carmel Ridge Winery Tasting Room on Cannery Row! There will be live music by The 'Tones' and plenty of wine to taste. There will also be a raffle with lots of great prizes, like MBDD merchandise and bout tickets! Don't miss this great event to help support MBDD!

Come and taste some wine, listen to some good music, and hang out with your local Monterey Bay Derby Dames!

There are only 25 tickets available for $20 on Brown Paper Tickets, so act fast before they sell out!

Dee Fender- Derby Girl of the Month

Congratulations to Dee Fender, our Derby Girl of the Month for May.  Dee has been nominated multiple times by both her Beasts of Eden and Babes or Wrath captains and co-captain, so she was an easy choice for MBDD's May honoree.  Dee commits herself to the needs of the league on many levels, she serves as a pivot and co-captain for the Babes of Wrath, an outstanding blocker on the Beasts of Eden travel team, on the Board of Directors as Chair Person, and on countless league committees.  Dee and her family volunteer at most every fundraiser despite the distance they drive to attend league eve

Smalls of Fury - January Derby Girl of the Month

Smalls of Fury, #60, is our January Derby Girl of the Month, let's get a huge shout out for our girl!  Smalls joined Monterey in 2010, since starting on her derby journey she has excelled as a skater being a core and originating member of her home team the Steinwreckers tearing up the track as both a jammer and a blocker, and being an instrumental member of the travel team the Beasts of Eden.  At all levels, and especially at the travel team level, Smalls is always there with a huge smile and an encouraging word for every skater pushing through challenges and hurdles.  Nobody can watch Smal
