There are many ways to get involved in the Monterey Bay Derby Dames. Check out the categories below for more info.:
Skater
Skaters are the women you see on the track playing roller derby! No previous skating experience needed, but it certainly does help! You must be over 18 and female to be a skater (no worries young'ins, we have a junior program now!)
Referee
Referees are the rules enforcers. They help keep the skaters safe while playing the game! Like skaters, no previous skating experience needed.
Non-skating Official
Non-skating officials are the time keepers, score keepers, penalty trackers, etc. during the bout or scrimmage. They're very detail oriented and analytical! It's a great way to get involved in the awesome sport of roller derby if skating is not for you.
Junior Skater
Junior skaters are female skaters under 18. Our junior program is no-contact, positional only.
